High strength and toughness: Zirconia (ZrO2) has bending strength (800-1200 MPa) and fracture toughness (5-10 MPa·m1/2) far exceeding ordinary ceramics, making it suitable for complex stress structures.
Wear resistance: Its high hardness (Mohs hardness 8.5-9) makes it suitable for high friction environments such as bearings, seals, etc.
Impact resistance: Compared to traditional ceramics, the phase transformation toughening mechanism of zirconia can absorb impact energy and reduce brittleness.
High temperature resistance: With a melting point of up to 2700℃, it is suitable for high-temperature environments such as aircraft engine components.
