Black Silicon Carbide Porous Rod (High-end high-temp model)
Higher oil storage capacity, stronger anti-volatilization under strong sunlight, suitable for high-concentration essential oil and tropical high-temperature car cabins.
Porous ceramic car freshener rod (also called aroma diffuser wick, evaporating ceramic stick) is a microporous inorganic ceramic core specially designed for car air perfume diffusers. It is sintered from high-purity alumina / silicon carbide powder with pore-forming agents, forming countless interconnected capillary micropores inside. It absorbs essential oil, perfume liquid and releases fragrance evenly and slowly through natural volatilization, acting as the core slow-release component for vent clip car fresheners, hanging car perfume bottles and dashboard aromatherapy ornaments.
The porosity and micropore structure are customizable during production. Higher porosity = faster scent volatilization; lower porosity = mild, long-lasting aroma. Unlike paper, cotton or sponge wicks that release scent sharply and run out quickly, ceramic capillaries maintain stable soft fragrance for 6–8 weeks after one oil refill, no sudden strong odor to irritate drivers.
Car interiors can reach over 60℃ under sunlight. High-temperature fired ceramic will not melt, deform, shrink or produce toxic volatile substances, avoiding oily overflow, window fogging and sticky residue on dashboards or air vents caused by foam/paper diffusers.
No disposable waste. After the fragrance fades, simply drip new essential oil directly onto the ceramic rod, and it restarts slow release. Can be reused dozens of times, far longer service life than plant fiber, cotton and plastic wicks.
Made of pure inorganic ceramic without plasticizers, chemical binders or heavy metal precipitation. No harmful gas release during volatilization, safe for drivers, children and pets inside the vehicle. Fully meets automotive interior environmental standards.
Three-dimensional interconnected micropores store more perfume liquid. It fully absorbs essential oil without dripping, prevents liquid leakage from car perfume bottles and avoids staining car leather, plastic trim and floor mats.
Resists all kinds of alcohol-based perfumes, plant essential oils and synthetic fragrance liquids; will not dissolve, expand or deteriorate after long-term soaking in aromatic oil.
3.1 Raw Material Batching & Mixing (Decides Porosity)
High-purity alumina powder + starch/carbon pore-forming agent (more agent = higher porosity) + water-soluble binder + lubricant are fully stirred and vacuum kneaded. Mud is sealed and aged 24–48 hours for uniform moisture distribution.
3.2 Vacuum Extrusion Molding
Vacuum removes internal air bubbles, mud extruded into solid cylindrical green blanks, cut into fixed custom lengths.
3.3 Segmented Slow Drying
Room-temperature air drying + low-temperature oven drying (40–100℃) to remove free water gradually, prevent blank cracking.
3.4 Low-Temperature Debinding Pre-Firing (500–600℃)
All organic pore-forming agents and binders burn off completely, forming primary capillary voids inside the rod. Slow heating rate avoids internal cracking caused by gas expansion.
3.5 High-Temperature Sintering (1100–1300℃)
Control firing temperature and holding time to lock stable pore size, porosity and mechanical hardness. Higher sinter temperature creates smaller pores and slower volatilization speed.
3.6 Glazing & Secondary Low-Temp Firing (Optional)
Apply colored glaze on one or two ends of rods, fire at 800℃ to fix color decoration; cylinder surface remains unglazed for maximum oil absorption.
3.7 Post Treatment & Quality Inspection
Polish burrs, ultrasonic clean surface dust; batch test oil absorption rate, porosity, dimensional tolerance and leakage resistance. Qualified products packed for shipment.
