Introduction

1.Introduction of Silica Quartz Glass Plates:

A milky quartz plate (or sheet) is a type of fused quartz characterized by its opaque, white, and milky appearance. Unlike clear quartz, which is transparent, milky quartz has a distinctive diffuse, semi-translucent quality that creates a soft, uniform glow when illuminated from behind.

 

1.1 Appearance:

Opaque & Milky White:It has a smooth, uniform, white surface that is not transparent.

Excellent Diffuse Transmission:Its primary function is to evenly scatter and diffuse light, eliminating hot spots and creating a soft, pleasing illumination. It acts as a natural light diffuser.

1.3 Manufacturing Process:

The milky appearance is primarily achieved through one of two methods:

Controlled Bubble Formation: Countless microscopic air bubbles are intentionally introduced during the melting and fusion process of high-purity silica. These tiny bubbles scatter incident light in all directions, causing the opaque, white appearance.

Sintering: In some cases, it can be made by sintering high-purity quartz crystals, which also creates a dense but light-diffusing structure.

Answer: Absolutely yes. We accept technical drawings in all mainstream file formats as well as actual physical samples. Before formal production, our engineering team will provide a full professional DFM feasibility evaluation for your reference.

Answer: Sample lead time: 3–7 working days. Custom mold lead time: 5–10 working days (we will confirm the cycle separately with you for complex molds). Mass production lead time: 7–20 working days, depending on product structure complexity and order quantity.
