Introduction

The ceramic atomizer core is a key component of modern electronic atomization devices . Its function is to convert liquid into inhalable vapor through heating.

The basic working principle is as follows:

  • 1. Porosity: The ceramic itself is made into a structure with micrometer or even nanometer-sized pores.
  • 2. Liquid Conduction: These micro-pores, through capillary action, evenly and continuously adsorb the liquid or medicinal liquid stored around to the heating area.
  • 3. Heating: The metal heating wire (usually nichrome wire, iron-chromium-aluminum wire, etc.) embedded inside the ceramic body or closely attached to the ceramic surface generates high temperatures when electrified.
  • 4. Atomization: The liquid reaching the heating area is instantly evaporated and atomized, forming fine mist.

Porous sintered ceramic core

This is the most common and mainstream technology. By mixing ceramic powder (such as alumina, kaolin, etc.) with pore-forming agents and sintering it at high temperatures, an internally porous structure with continuous pores is formed.

Features: Controllable porosity, stable liquid conductivity, strong oil storage capacity. It is currently the type with the most balanced performance and the widest application range.

  • 3. Strong Anti-Leakage Capability: The micro-porous structure effectively locks in the liquid when not in use, significantly reducing the risk of leakage compared to traditional cotton cores.
  • 4. Good Durability: Ceramic is less prone to charring and can better withstand dry burning compared to cotton, resulting in a longer service life.
  • 5. High Consistency: Industrial production ensures that each ceramic core has highly consistent performance and quality, providing a stable user experience.

The porosity of a ceramic atomizing core:

It refers to the percentage of the volume of pores within the ceramic material to the total volume.

Porosity is an important parameter of a ceramic atomizing core, as it directly affects the oil conductivity and atomization effect of the core. Generally, the higher the porosity, the stronger the oil conductivity, but it also reduces the strength of the ceramic. Therefore, the setting of porosity needs to find a balance between oil conductivity and strength. Depending on different manufacturers and products, the porosity range of ceramic atomizing cores may vary, but it is usually between 30% and 60%.

The ceramic atomizing core has the following characteristics:

1. High-temperature porcelain firing

Compared to most of the low-temperature ceramic material atomization cores available on the market, this one needs to be fired at a high temperature of 1300 degrees, resulting in a higher porcelain degree. When used , it will not cause the core to become burnt. Moreover, because the firing process is more thorough, the flavor is pure, without any earthy smell or other odors.

2. Higher porosity, better taste

The key feature of silicon carbide porous ceramics is that they have more controllable pores with micrometer-sized diameters, a high open porosity rate, and uniform pore size distribution, which can result in a higher output.

Usage and Maintenance Tips

  • 1. Proper Moisturization: Before the first use, ensure that the liquid is fully soaked into the ceramic core and let it stand for 10-15 minutes. Dry burning will permanently damage the micro-porous structure and heating wire of the ceramic, resulting in a burnt smell and irrecoverable damage.
  • 2. Power Matching: Use the recommended power range as indicated . Insufficient power will lead to insufficient atomization and carbon buildup; excessive power will damage the device.
