Performance Characteristics
- High toughness (fracture resistance)
- Mechanism: This is the most prominent feature of zirconia, stemming from its "phase transition toughening" mechanism. Under stress, zirconia grains undergo phase transformation (from tetragonal phase to monoclinic phase), with slight volume expansion, resulting in compressive stress at the crack tip and effectively preventing crack propagation.
- Performance: Its fracture toughness is much higher than traditional alumina ceramics, and even comparable to certain metals, effectively overcoming the weakness of ceramic "brittleness".
- High strength and high hardness
- Performance: Zirconia has very high bending strength and Vickers hardness, which enables it to withstand high loads and resist external forces such as indentation and scratches, with excellent wear resistance.
- Excellent wear resistance
- Performance: Combining high hardness and toughness, zirconia shaped parts exhibit extremely long service life under friction and wear conditions, making them an ideal wear-resistant component material.
- Low thermal conductivity and high temperature stability
- Performance: Zirconia is an excellent insulation material with extremely low thermal conductivity. Meanwhile, it can maintain its strength and shape stability even at high temperatures (usually above 1100℃).
- Excellent chemical stability and biocompatibility
- Performance: Excellent corrosion resistance to most acids, bases, and molten metals. Zirconia (such as Y-TZP) that has undergone strict biosafety certification is non-toxic, non irritating, and non allergenic to human tissues, and is recognized as a biologically inert material.
- Unique coefficient of thermal expansion

Performance: Its coefficient of thermal expansion is relatively close to that of metals, which makes it have better thermal compatibility when used in conjunction with metal components, reducing stress cracking problems caused by uneven thermal expansion and contraction.

- Replacing metal with pottery ": In wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant applications, it can replace high-grade alloy steel, tungsten steel, etc., with a longer lifespan and no need for lubrication, achieving oil-free operation.

- Precision bearing balls and rollers: Utilizing their high hardness, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, electrical insulation, and non-magnetic properties, they are used in high-speed spindles, precision instruments, semiconductor equipment, and more.
- Mechanical seal ring: used in chemical pumps, automotive water pumps, etc., it is corrosion-resistant, wear-resistant, and has a lifespan far exceeding that of tungsten carbide and graphite.
- Cutting tools: Zirconia ceramic blades can be used for high-speed precision machining.
- Textile and fiber optic guide: extremely high smoothness and wear resistance, will not wear expensive fiber materials.

Question: Can you produce based on customers’ drawings or physical samples?
Answer: Absolutely yes. We accept technical drawings in all mainstream file formats as well as actual physical samples. Before formal production, our engineering team will provide a full professional DFM feasibility evaluation for your reference.

Question: How long is the production lead time for custom orders?
Answer: Sample lead time: 3–7 working days. Custom mold lead time: 5–10 working days (we will confirm the cycle separately with you for complex molds). Mass production lead time: 7–20 working days, depending on product structure complexity and order quantity.

Question: What’s your minimum order quantity for custom products?
