Rectangular Quartz Glass Cuvette with Screw Cap for Lab Test.

Quartz Glass cuvette with screwed top. Feel free for inquiry.

Introduction

Product Details Description

  • 1)Size:56*12.5*12.5mm
  • 2) Volume: 3.5ml
  • 3)Light Path: 10mm
  • 4)Windows: 2 sides clear or 4 sides clear

Material properties: very low coefficient of thermal expansion, resistance to high temperature, high chemical purity, high corrosion resistance, extensive optical transmission from ultra-violet to infra-red, excellent electrical insulation qualities.

Mechanical Durability:
While not unbreakable, quartz is more scratch-resistant and mechanically robust than plastic, contributing to a longer operational life when handled with care. They can be cleaned repeatedly without degrading the optical surfaces.

High-purity quartz has exceptional optical clarity and very low autofluorescence. This minimizes background noise and leads to more accurate and sensitive measurements, especially in low-concentration samples or fluorescence spectroscopy.

Attention:

The cuvette is generally a rectangular parallelepiped, the ground and sides of which are ground glass, and the other two sides are made of optical glass. The light-transmitting surface is made by melting, glass powder sintering and gluing. So pay attention to the following points when using:

  • 1. When taking cuvettes, you can only touch the frosted glass on both sides with your fingers to avoid touching the optical surface. At the same time, pay attention to handle gently to prevent the external force from contrasting the cuvette and causing damage after stress.
  • 2. Any solution containing substances that corrode glass should not be stored in a cuvette for a long time.
  • 3. Do not place cuvettes on a flame or electric stove for heating or baking in a drying box.
  • 4. When the inside of the cuvette is found to be contaminated, it should be cleaned without water and wiped clean in time.
  • 5. Do not contact the light-transmitting surface of the cuvette with hard or dirty objects. When the solution is contained, the height is only 2/3 of the cuvette. If there is residual liquid on the optical surface, it can be gently adsorbed with filter paper, and then wiped with lens paper or silk.

Quartz cuvettes offer superior performance over other materials, primarily due to their high UV transparency and excellent thermal stability.

Applicatiion:

Quartz cuvettes are indispensable for:

  • *  UV-Vis Spectroscopy (across the entire UV and visible range).
  • *  Fluorescence Spectroscopy (due to low fluorescence).
  • *  High-temperature applications.
  • *  Analyses using aggressive solvents.
  • *  High-precision and research-grade measurements.

4Usage Note:

A cuvette is typically a rectangular cuboid, with its base and two sides made of ground (frosted) glass , and the other two opposite sides are transparent optical surfaces that form the light path. These optical surfaces are constructed using methods such as fused one-piece formation , high-temperature sintering of glass powder, or adhesive bonding. Therefore, the following points should be observed during use:

  • 1.  When handling the cuvette, only touch the ground glass sides with your fingers , avoiding contact with the optical surfaces. Handle it gently to prevent external force from stressing and potentially damaging the cuvette.
  • 2.  Do not store solutions containing substances that corrode glass in the cuvette for extended periods.
  • 3.  Never place the cuvette directly on a flame, electric hotplate for heating , or in an oven for baking.
  • 4.  If the interior of the cuvette becomes contaminated, clean it with anhydrous ethanol and wipe it dry promptly.
  • 5.  Do not allow the optical surfaces to come into contact with hard or dirty objects . When filling with solution , fill it to about 2/3 of the cuvette's height. If any liquid remains on the optical surfaces, first gently absorb it with filter paper , and then wipe carefully using lens tissue or silk.
